About UPA

UPA specializes in workers’ compensation insurance. UPA’s operations and book of business distribution was based primarily in Florida. In 2008, UPA grew its book of business acting as a wholesaler with a distribution network of 400 agencies. This network of independent agents generated $150 million in submitted premium in 2008.

UPA recently expanded its footprint to a national level in July 2009 when the company launched its e-Agent program to contract independent agents nationwide. These agents can use UPA e-Access which allows agents to conduct business online with optimized turnaround time and an ease of doing business.

UPA’s strategic partnerships in the franchise industry, positions us with a national reach that offers workers' compensation solutions suited for franchisors and franchisees.

In 2010, UPA launched a restaurant specialty program. UPA also offers underwriting expertise in the following targeted industries: country clubs, wholesale and retail operations, restaurants with delivery and fast food restaurants, health care, and hospitality.
