About UPA

UPA specializes in workers’ compensation insurance. We offer a branded workers’ compensation payroll program called UPAY-As-You-Go, claims management through Claimetrics and human resource solutions through Express Employment Professionals. The UPA team has been writing monoline workers' compensation for more than 10 years.

UPA currently represents six A-rated carriers. We also manage claims for Chartis and Zurich with proven claims saving results.

UPA’s operations and book of business distribution was based primarily in Florida. In 2008, UPA grew its book of business acting as a wholesaler with a distribution network of 400 agencies. This network of independent agents generated $150 million in submitted premium in 2008.

UPA expanded its footprint to a national level in 2009. UPA is now licensed in all 50 states and has been appointed by Chartis and Zurich to write workers’ compensation throughout the country. In July 2009, UPA launched its e-Agent program to contract independent agents nationwide. These agents can use UPA e-Access which allows agents to conduct business online with optimized turnaround time and an ease of doing business.

UPA’s strategic partnerships in the franchise industry, positions us with a national reach that offers workers' compensation solutions suited for franchisors and franchisees.

In 2010, UPA launched a restaurant specialty program for multi-unit fine dining and casual restaurants. Targeted industries include country clubs, wholesale and retail operations, restaurants with delivery and fast food restaurants, health care, and hospitality.
