UPA specializes in workers’ compensation insurance. We offer a branded workers’ compensation payroll program called UPAY-As-You-Go, claims management through Claimetrics and human resource solutions through Express Employment Professionals.

UPA’s operations and book of business distribution was based primarily in Florida. In 2008, UPA grew its book of business acting as a wholesaler with a distribution network of 400 agencies. This network of independent agents generated $150 million in submitted premium in 2008.

UPA recently expanded its footprint to a national level in July 2009 when the company launched its e-Agent program to contract independent agents nationwide. These agents can use UPA e-Access which allows agents to conduct business online with optimized turnaround time and an ease of doing business.

UPA’s strategic partnerships in the franchise industry, positions us with a national reach that offers workers' compensation solutions suited for franchisors and franchisees.

In 2010, UPA launched a restaurant specialty program. UPA also offers underwriting expertise in the following targeted industries: country clubs, wholesale and retail operations, restaurants with delivery and fast food restaurants, health care, and hospitality.
